The First Meeting of the Spring Session

The first meeting of the spring session this year was held in the Supreme Council.

The meeting was organized in the Skype conference format. This decision was taken by the Presidium the day before. First of all this is due to the unfavorable situation regarding the incidence of COVID-19 in our republic.

According to tradition, the anthem of the PMR was played at the beginning of the plenary session. Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov congratulated his colleagues on the start of the spring session and set everyone up for constructive and fruitful work.

Alexander Korshunov drew the attention of the deputies to the fact that this year it is necessary to pay more attention to information hours and to hold such hours on serious issues within the framework of the plenary sessions of the Supreme Council.

Chairman of the Supreme Council Commission on Mandates, Regulations and Deputy Ethics Gregory Dyachenko reminded his colleagues that in order to form a general work plan for the Parliament for the current year, it is necessary to submit proposals.

At the end of the plenary session, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov informed the deputies that an extended meeting would be held on January 20, at which the President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky would set tasks for the Government for this year. The meeting will be held online.
