The first spring Saturday volunteer working day in Slobodzeya

Saturday volunteer working day was held on the penultimate Friday of March in Slobodzeya, announced as part of the month of improvement, landscaping and sanitary cleaning of the city. Employees of all institutions and organizations went to the streets of Slobodzeya. They brought cleanliness and order in the areas under their jurisdiction. Streets were swept, lawns were cleaned, trees were whitewashed, trees were planted. Landscaping was carried out in Komsomolskaya Street. The trees were planted by the head of the state administration Vasily Tishchenko, the head of the district city council Tatyana Zalevskaya and the deputy of the Supreme Council for the district No. 21 "Slobodzeya" Pavel Shinkaryuk together with the townspeople. 110 young sakura and weeping mulberry trees appeared along Komsomolskaya Street during a couple of hours. The area for planting trees was not chosen by chance. Komsomolskaya Street of Frunze has become busier due to the closure for traffic. There were few trees here before landscaping, and there was not enough shade during hot summer days. Therefore, it was decided to pay attention to this particular area. Low-growing rocks were chosen for planting because of the power lines passing nearby. Attention as part of the Saturday volunteer working day was paid to a new park area near the city stadium, a coastal area on the Dniester. Order was restored at the Memorial of Glory, the House of Culture, the Youth Football School, in Pobeda Park and other areas in the Russian part of Slobodzeya. More than 400 trees totally will be planted in the Slobodzeya district as part of the greening program this spring.

Other settlements of the region actively joined the month campaign and Saturday volunteer working day. 6 tons of lime and fuel for vehicles carrying out garbage collection were purchased for their improvement and distributed with funds from the local budget.
