09.08.2022

The history of Pridnestrovian television is inextricably linked with the formation and development of our republic. The Decree of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic “On the Formation of the Republican Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Press under the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic” was adopted in 1992. Deputy of the Supreme Council Boris Akulov was appointed as the Chairman. An independent state enterprise "State Television Center" was established on the basis of the technical center, on the 3rd of August of the same year. The staff was only 20 people then. Lyudmila Shulga was approved as the editor-in-chief. A huge amount of work was done by technical services headed by Boris Akulov to launch a television transmitter at that difficult time. On August 9, 1992, the first full-fledged newscast aired. This event marked the birth of its own state television in Pridnestrovie, the first TV channel.

Solemn ceremony of celebrating the 30th anniversary of the formation of television of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic was held at the Palace of the Republic today. The management and employees of the TV channel were awarded medals, certificates of honor and letters of thanks.

The Supreme Council is also a co-founder of the Mass Media First Pridnestrovie TV Channel. The TV channel was congratulated by the Chairman of the Supreme Council Committee on Education, Public Associations and Mass Media Igor Buga on behalf of the legislative body.

The congratulations were joined by Andrey Safonov, Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Education, Public Associations and Mass Media. The parliamentarian noted the role that the TV channel played in the history of our country.
