The first Report of the young Ministry

The Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic summed up the results of activities for 2021 online. The Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov and the Chairman of the Committee on Education, Public Associations and Mass Media Igor Buga took part in the work.

The Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic has jurisdiction in the mass media - PGTRK and "Pridnestrovskaya Gazeta", in the field of information technology and telecommunications - centers of information technology and communication regulation, post office, "Polygraphist" printing house and "Marka Pridnestrovya" publishing house.

The Minister Sergei Babenko said that it was possible to put digital technology at the service of the state in 2021. The digitalization of public services was carried out during the reporting year: the access of citizens to public services was improved and, in a number of areas, the need to visit public authorities was eliminated. 87 services (23 departments) could be ordered on the public services portal by the beginning of this year.

As part of the improvement of the educational process, the Elzhur (teacher’s grade book) system appeared in 2021. 140 educational institutions are connected to it. Sergey Babenko spoke in detail about the work of the electronic payment system, mail, the state printing house, state media, the development of communication networks and the state program for the transition to digital broadcasting and plans for the future. Thus, the Ministry of Digital Development and the Ministry of Agriculture were instructed to develop a land cadastre.

The Ministry of Digital Development prepared 29 legislations last year, the head of the department noted. Sergei Babenko stressed that there is an acute shortage of personnel in the field of information technology. The plans include closer interaction with the PSU in their preparation.

The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that created just a year ago department worked productively. All the tasks in the first stage of the activity of the newly created body have been completed at the proper level. The President spoke about the importance of the work of the Ministry in the modern conditions of digitalization of most spheres of society. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized the coordinating role of the Ministry in relation to the media. It is important, the President noted, to inform the population about the real state of affairs in the republic and beyond its borders, to cover the events and events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the start of Moldova's armed aggression against the people of Pridnestrovie, to cultivate patriotism, to popularize various professions. Among the topics that journalists need to raise more often are the multinationality of Pridnestrovie, the history, traditions and culture of different nationalities, sports and a healthy lifestyle, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted.

In general, the work of the Ministry of Digital Development, Telecommunications and Mass Media at the end of 2021 was recognized as satisfactory by the PMR President.
