The prospects of socio-economic development of PMR

Pridnestrovian State University hosted a scientific-practical conference "Prospects of socio-economic development of PMR". The organizer of the event - is Russian Institute for Strategic Studies, the management of which was held in dialogue format online broadcast. It was attended by the Speaker of Parliament Vadim Krasnoselsky, Supreme Council deputies, representatives of the Government, the scientific community of the university. The moderator of the meeting on pridnestrovian site was the head of the scientific programs Dniester - Prut information-analytical center RISS George Menyailo. The main message of the conference was marked by the RISS Deputy Director Tamara Guzenkova, emphasizing that the organized meeting is of expert-analytical nature, in the course of its need to indicate current problems and to exchange views on the possibility of their resolution.

Vadim Krasnoselsky noted difficult socio-economic situation of the republic. Neighboring countries have chosen the European vector, the position of our country is based on the results of the referendum of 2006, when pridnestrovians called for an independent path of development of the state and further free entry to the Russian Federation. The speaker drew attention to the decline of the external activity of the Republic and marked the double lowering exports to Russia last year.

As the Dean of the Faculty of Economic PSU Nikolai Smolenski, PSU scientific community in favor of the formation of a clear development strategy of the state, which requires a comprehensive analysis of what is happening. He described the reasons for the difficult situation of the republic, which is based not only on external and internal, but also the problems of market and economic relations.

Vice Speaker Galina Antyufeeva focused attention on the fact that recently the Parliament is actively using a tool such as a parliamentary inquiry. This is due to the need to know where public funds are spent. Galina Antyufeeva appealed to RISS leadership with a request to assist in the restoration of the full picture of what is happening through the involvement of Russian experts.

The Pridnestrovian-Russian dialogue was attended by parliamentarians, Victor Guzun, Alexander Martynov, Efimy Koval, Mikhail Burla. The discussion was focused on the investment climate, problems of development of trade and economic relations of Pridnestrovie with Russia.
