Parliamentarians during the plenary session considered law-in-draft “On approval of the State program for the development of the agro-industrial complex for 2019-2026”. The strategic document was developed on the instructions of the President. The work on it began in 2017. The main objectives of the state program are to ensure food security, increase agricultural exports and, consequently, foreign exchange earnings in the country.
As the representative of the author, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Oleg Diligul noted earlier, emphasis was placed on the development of animal husbandry, vegetable growing, fruit growing and viticulture, taking into account the restoration of irrigated agriculture.
The sources of financing include own or borrowed funds of enterprises, as well as subsidies and state subsidies. Here are soft loans from the state reserve fund. Their farmers will be able to get on the development of animal husbandry, gardening, fruit growing and vegetable growing. It is also planned that the state will take over the financing of part of the credit rate of commercial banks. It is provided by the draft program and the preferential tariff for irrigation water. It is planned in the future to introduce land tax benefits for owners of perennial plants and gardens, taken for uprooting.

The law-in-draft “On approval of the State program for the development of the agro-industrial complex for 2019-2026” was adopted by parliamentarians in the first reading. The work on the strategic document will be continued.
