Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Viktor Tulba has been appointed to a second term in this position. The Supreme Council adopted 2 relevant resolutions: on the termination of the powers of Viktor Tulba from April 30 and on his appointment to the post from May 1, 2024 for a 7-year term. The candidacy of Victor Tulba was proposed by the Parliamentary Committee on Legislation, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens.
According to the requirements of the Constitutional Law “On the Constitutional Court of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic”, a citizen of the PMR who is at least 40 years old, has a higher legal education and has worked in the legal profession or has worked in the field of law for at least 10 years can be appointed as a judge of the Constitutional Court.
Victor Tulba was born on May 18, 1962 in the village of Vladimirovka, Slobodzeya district, Moldavian SSR. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Chisinau State University named after Lenin. He worked in the PMR Prosecutor's Office, held the position of Deputy Military Prosecutor of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. He is an Honored Lawyer of Pridnestrovie and has the highest qualification class of judges. He was awarded many state awards.
