The negotiation process is at the level of law

Recently, the permanent deputy commission on foreign policy and international relations began to meet more often. The frequency of meetings is dictated by the alarming situation that is developing around Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. So today the meeting of the Commission on Foreign Policy and International Relations gave the start to the current working week in the Supreme Council.

The first issue on the agenda is "On the law-in-draft "On Legal, Organizational and Political Principles of Negotiating with the Republic of Moldova". The collective author of adopted by the Supreme Council in the first reading – is a group of deputies. The document defines the goals, principles, organization of the negotiation process between PMR and the RM; it also reflects the parameters of the current state of relations between Chisinau and Tiraspol.

Amendments to the law-in-draft from subjects of the legislative initiative were considered and studied in the course of the last meeting. A lot of proposals were received from public organizations. In general, the law-in-draft is ready for adoption for adoption by the deputy corps in the second reading. Representatives of public organizations repeatedly appealed to the Supreme Council with a request to hold parliamentary hearings on this issue. The parliamentary commission on foreign policy and international relations in the near future will act as their organizer. However, the amendments that have been received so far will not be left without legislative attention when considering the law-in-draft in the second reading mode, also planned for the near future.
