Pensions and social payments for January will be received earlier by Pridnestrovians

Decision to calculate January pensions and social payments on December 26 and 27 was made due to the fact that the working days of budgetary organizations after the New Year holidays will begin on January 8. Deputies of the Supreme Council unanimously adopted the corresponding law-in-draft of the President on introducing an amendment to the law "On the budget of the Unified State Social Insurance Fund of the PMR for 2024".

The Pridnestrovian parliament explained that the payment for January will be received by all pensioners who have an open bank account at the end of December. Those Pridnestrovians who receive the payment in hand will be able to receive their pension on December 26 and 27, if their receipt schedule occurs on weekends and holidays (January 1, 2, 3 and 7). Pension carriers will bring the payment home or it can be collected at the cash desk of the social insurance centers. The rest will receive their pension in hand in January according to the route schedule.

The director of the Unified State Social Insurance Fund explained that the transfer of amounts to bank accounts will be made by credit institutions at their own expense. The advanced amounts will be reimbursed from the budget of the Unified State Social Insurance Fund in January 2025 subsequently. The adopted amendments to the law were commented on by the chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance Viktor Guzun.

The amendments to the law "On the budget of the Unified State Social Insurance Fund of the PMR for 2024", adopted in two readings, have been sent to the President for signature.
