Parliamentary investigation

Parliamentarians Vadim Krasnoselsky, Galina Antyufeeva, Gregory Dyachenko, Peter Pasat and Alexander Korshunov offered enshrining the institute of parliamentary investigation, as a form of realization of the Supreme Council of the control functions. Legislators consider it necessary to establish a basis for the start of the parliamentary inquiry, the meeting procedure to fix the rights and duties of officials and citizens involved to participate in the investigation. This requires improvement of the constitutional law "On status of deputy of the Supreme Council of PMR", Regulation of the legislature, the Criminal Code and the Code of Administrative Offences.

Proposed in the package amendments were considered by deputies during the plenary session. Concept of documents caused a lot of questions from official representatives of the government. One of them

concerned the possibility of challenging the decision in court, worked out in the result of the parliamentary investigation.

As legislators explained, the decision will be made in the form of the Supreme Council resolution, which in turn can be controverted.

Proposals of the authors of legislative initiatives have been supported by majority vote at the plenary session. The legislations will be finalized for the second reading.
