The Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic will meet twice for regular plenary sessions – on June 9 and 11 next week. This decision was made by the Parliamentary Presidium in the course of the meeting today. The Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov indicated that a state of emergency economic situation is in effect in Pridnestrovie until June 8. The plenary session, which is scheduled for June 9, will close the VIII (autumn) session of the VII convocation of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, which was opened in September 2024 and has lasted until now due to the special legal regime (according to the law).
Deputies will gather again in the plenary session hall of the Supreme Council of the PMR, where the IX (spring) session of the VII convocation will be opened on June 11. The Committee on Education, Public Associations and Mass Media submitted 19 legislations and draft resolutions to the agenda of the plenary session on June 11. These include amendments and additions to the laws "On Education", "On Higher and Postgraduate Professional Education", "On Preschool Education", "On Culture", "On the Protection of Children from Information Harmful to Their Health and Development", "On Science and State Scientific and Technical Policy of the PMR", etc. The editors-in-chief of state media will report on June 11 to the Supreme Council on their work in 2024.
The Committee on Social Policy and Healthcare submitted for consideration by the deputy corps the draft laws “On Employment of the Population”, “On State Benefits for Citizens with Children”, “On Additional Guarantees for the Social Protection of Orphans and Children Left Without Parental Care” and amendments to the Housing Code of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
