The Parliamentary Meetings in Moscow

The V parliamentary meetings were opened as part of the Christmas Educational Readings in the State Duma of the Russian Federation. The structure of Pridnestrovian delegation included Archbishop Tiraspol and Dubossary Savva, as well as Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeeva and Deputy Peter Pasat.

According to the website of Tiraspol-Dubossary Diocese, the Holy Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill opened the V Christmas meeting in the State Duma. He noted that the event has a special significance. The Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church welcomed the change in the order of the State Duma of a new convocation.

Then the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Nikolai Fyodorov, head of the faction of the Communist Party Gennady Zyuganov, leader of the LDPR faction Vladimir Zhirinovsky had a speech.

Then the ceremony of awarding the winners of children's drawing competition "The Beauty of God's World" and winner of the contest "For moral achievement of the teacher". After a break, the work of Christmas parliamentary meetings continued in round tables on various topics.Christmas parliamentary meetings are held in conjunction with the upper and lower houses of parliament. The first Christmas meeting took place in January 2013. Currently, meetings are attended by the deputies of the State Duma, Federation Council members, members of the clergy - the traditional religious communities, members of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, representatives of public organizations and mass media.
