Parliamentarians need basic information

Members of the parliamentary committee on foreign policy and international affairs met today with the head of the Pridnestrovian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We talked about the results of the Berlin meeting in the "5 + 2" format. There has been a real revival in the negotiation process after two-year stagnation. It was supported by Russia and Germany - the current chairman of the OSCE. As the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pridnestrovie Vitaliy Ignatiev told deputies of the Supreme Council during the international meeting, questions were raised regarding recognition of our diplomas and transport links, telecommunications discussed topic, the issue of criminal prosecution of officials was not left unattended. Tiraspol and Chisinau agreed to exchange lists of criminal cases. By signing the minutes of the meeting, the parties have committed themselves to progress in solving the aforesaid problems in the shortest possible time. In addition, it is necessary to develop a mechanism of guarantees in the negotiation process and to dot the i's on the issue of the separation of the customs territories. This topic has been on the agenda of the meeting of the profile parliamentary committee as a separate item. It was adopted on the implementation in March 2012 a protocol decision "On the principles of full resumption of rail freight traffic through the territory of Pridnestrovie" and related documents. The functioning of the Moldovan customs posts in Varnita and Ribnitsa – is a well-known fact. Questions is of importance for Pridnestrovian side. According to members of the commission for foreign policy plays Pridnestrovian railroad and our economic agents, is threatened statehood of Pridnestrovie. Questions of parliamentarians in this regard were addressed not only acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service of PMR Boris Panko. According to the former head of the Foreign Ministry Valery Litskai, historical document in 2012 was adopted with violations - signed on a bilateral basis without the participation of the guarantor countries.

As for the renewed dialogue of international importance: it will continue in mid-July in the German Bavaria. Now there is a preparation for a new meeting. Lawmakers are sure that the work must be carried out in all directions. In this context, great importance has parliamentary diplomacy. This was said by all participants in the meeting of the Commission. Parliamentarians concluding decided to recommend to the plenary session of Question Time executive after a meeting in Berlin. The head of the Foreign Ministry supported the idea.

Another issue on the agenda of the meeting of the Commission - was a project developed by a group of deputies of the Supreme Council of the last convocation of the law "On the legal, institutional and policy framework for negotiations with the Republic of Moldova". According to the current parliamentary the initiative has not lost its relevance. The document was recommended for adoption in the first reading.
