Parliamentarians listened to the report of the Arbitration Court

The deputies of the Supreme Council listened to the report presented by the Arbitration Court on the work of the past year. The judicial body considered 887 lawsuits and other applications. Cases were dealt with in disputes arising from civil, administrative and other legal relations, cases of insolvency (bankruptcy) and others. The workload on the judges of the first instance of the Arbitration Court, compared to 2021, remained almost at the same level. The number of cases considered by the judges of the cassation instance has increased. The Vice-speaker of the Parliament, Chairman of the Committee on Legislation Galina Antyufeeva was interested in what is the reason for the increase in the volume of cassation complaints. It was noted at the plenary session that the statistics were not analyzed, but perhaps this is due to the increase in the number of administrative materials regarding individual entrepreneurs, which the Arbitration Court began to consider. An individual entrepreneur can file a cassation appeal since in the case of bringing him to administrative responsibility.

Chairperson of the relevant committee Galina Antyufeeva Assessing the work of the Arbitration Court in 2022 emphasized that closer cooperation between the judicial body and the Supreme Council is important to improve the current legislation on arbitration proceedings.

Following the discussion, the parliamentarians adopted a draft Resolution of the Supreme Council on the information of the PMR Arbitration Court on the results of activities for 2022.
