The program of events on the day of the 30th anniversary of the start of large-scale hostilities in Bendery was intense. The delegation of the leadership of the republic, headed by the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky visited places memorable for the people of Bendery after the flower-laying ceremony at the Memorial of Memory and Sorrow. The events were attended by Chairman of the PMR Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov, deputies Ruslan Gareev, Anton Onufrienko, Andrey Safonov and other parliamentarians.
One of these memorable places where flowers are brought several times a year including on June 19 is the chapel in Echin Street. A granite stone was built here in memory of the employees of the internal affairs bodies who died under the bullets of the Moldavian special police unit on April 1, 1992.
Fresh flowers in gratitude for the feat lay down at the stone cross in the courtyard of a residential building in the center of Bendery - at the intersection of Lenin and Suvorov streets on June 19. This is a memorial to the Cossacks who gave their lives defending the Pridnestrovian people from the Moldovan nationalist aggressors. On the plaques of the commemorative sign are four names of the Cossacks who died at this place on the night of June 19-20, 1992. In total, 92 Cossacks were killed in the conflict.
The President honored the memory of the guardsmen who died on the night of June 22-23, 1992. The tragedy is reminded by a stone sign installed in Panin Street with a laconic inscription “To the defenders of the city. 06.23.1992". A tragic mistake ended dozens of lives of Pridnestrovian servicemen.
Another monument that appeared in Bendery after the events of the early 90s of the last century is to the defenders of Pridnestrovie. It was installed in 2010 on the occasion of the 19th anniversary of the Women's Strike Committee. This is also in Panin street. The place near the railway track was not chosen by chance. The sign, made by the sculptor Tatyana Sergeeva, recalls the feat of the Pridnestrovian women who defended the independence of the Pridnestrovian state. The "rail war" of the Women's Strike Committee representatives is a well-known and in many ways fateful fact of Pridnestrovian history. Activists of the Women's Strike Committee continue to participate in the public life of the country.
Another significant location for the people of Bendery is the Military Historical Memorial Complex. The delegation headed by the President arrived here to honor the memory of the defenders and victims of the war. Fresh flowers were laid at the Poklonny Cossack Cross. A monument with the inscription "For Faith and Loyalty" was established on the territory of the Bendery necropolis in 2020 in memory of the Cossacks who died defending the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic from the armed aggression of Moldova. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov and Head of Government Alexander Rosenberg left a scattering of carnations at the monument to the defenders and civilians who died in 1992. Forming a cross the black granite slabs were installed here on June 19, 2010.
The traditional regatta of memory was held In the afternoon at the rowing base in honor of the sportsmen Andrei Bunin, Yuri Gladkov and Vyacheslav Malchukov, who died in 1992, who came to the defense of Bendery. Traditionally, the PMR President takes part in the regatta. Vadim Krasnoselsky took part int the Regatta as part of the veteran G8. Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov, together with other leaders of the authorities, took part in the Regatta in the kayak "Dnestr and K".
Minute of silence took place in the republic, sirens sounded in all towns at 16:45. A concert was held in the evening on the stage of the Alexander Nevsky Park in the Bendery Fortress for residents and guests of the city of Bendery, which has defended the world.
