Parliamentarians will discuss the situation in the sphere of water supply

20.03.2018

Members of the Presidium of the Supreme Council considered a number of legislations of an economic nature. The government prepared a legislative initiative that provides support measures for light industry enterprises, which work at the expense of customer-supplied raw materials. As the chairman of the profile parliamentary committee Alexander Korshunov noted, the law-in-draft was developed on the basis of appeals from representatives of the garment industry.

Anti-crisis measures taken in 2017, allowed sewing organizations to increase production, keep the number of employees and increase tax payments. The legislative initiative was included in the first reading on the agenda of the plenary session.

It was proposed by the parliamentarian Victor Guzun to prolong the support measures for small businesses in 2018. Changes are made to the law "On additional measures aimed at stabilizing the economy", which was adopted two years ago in order to reduce administrative barriers and the fiscal burden on the activities of domestic economic agents.

Members of the Presidium agreed with the author's position and voted to introduce the law-in-draft into the agenda of the plenary session.

Chairman of the Committee for State Regional Policy Oleg Vasilaty proposed to hold an information hour of the executive authority on the organization of drinking water accounting. He noted that this issue remains relevant for several years and requires discussion, including from the point of view of implementing state policy in this sphere. Members of the Presidium supported the idea and, for their part, suggested broadening the theme of the information hour. Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba considers it necessary to conduct an analysis of the activities of the unified state enterprise "Water supply and sanitation", determine how the centralization of management in this industry affected the water consumption market. It is also important to discuss the issues of tariff policy.

The information hour is planned to be held during the plenary session of the session of the Supreme Council on March 28.

At the end of the meeting, members of the Presidium appointed the dates for the upcoming plenary sessions. The next one will be held next week, the parliamentarians will meet on April 18.
