The Parliament Spring Session is over

The 21st plenary meeting of the III session of the VII convocation took place On July 13. Alexander Korshunov, Chairman of the Pridnestrovian Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic summed up the preliminary results of the work of the Parliament for the first half of 2022 before concluding the session.

21 plenary meetings and 1 extraordinary plenary meeting of the PMR Supreme Council, 39 meetings of the Presidium of the PMR Supreme Council were held from January to July 13, 2022.

Legislative initiative subjects of the right sent 320 legislative initiatives to the Parliament for consideration during the spring session.

The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic submitted 40 legislations, 23 of them are in the mode of legislative necessity. The Government received 146 legislative initiatives, deputies of the Supreme Council became the authors of 114 legislations. Changes to the current legislation were initiated by the Bendery City Council, the PMR Prosecutor's Office, the Supreme and Arbitration Courts, the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

The Supreme Council considered 470 issues at plenary sessions, on which it adopted and signed 470 resolutions as of the 6th of July, 2022.

The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic signed 170 adopted laws, they are published on the official website of the President as of the 11th of July.

Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov noted that the specialists of the Parliament Apparatus are preparing electronic versions of normative legal acts adopted by the Supreme Council, which are sent to the Ministry of Justice for official publication. Electronic versions of laws signed by the President, as well as resolutions of the PMR Supreme Council, signed by the Speaker of Parliament, are entered into the electronic database of the Supreme Council and published on the official website of the Supreme Council.

There are a number of new (basic) laws of the PMR of the adopted during the III session of the VII convocation by the deputies of the Supreme Council of the PMR:

– Law of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic “On the Enactment of the Fourth Part of the Civil Code of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic”;

– Law of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic “On approval of the state target program “Restoration and development of the reclamation complex of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for 2021–2026”;

– Law of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic “State Privatization Program in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for 2022–2023”;

– Law of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic “On Measures of State Support for Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons Arriving from the Territory of Ukraine and Temporarily Staying on the Territory of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic”;

– Law of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic “On Measures of State Support for Economic Entities of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in Connection with the Negative Consequences of External Factors”.

Other laws adopted by the Supreme Council make changes and additions to the current legislation.

The Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is concerned about the external situation, which directly affects the situation within the republic. The Supreme Council adopted a statement "On the situation around Pridnestrovie" on June 29, which was sent to the guarantor countries, participants in the "5 + 2" format and international organizations.

After considering the entire agenda of the plenary session, Speaker Alexander Korshunov announced the completion of the III session of the PMR Supreme Council of the VII convocation. The parliamentarians listened to the PMR anthem while standing. The deputies went on parliamentary holidays, but will continue to work in their constituencies until September.
