Memory of the Heart

The President Vadim Krasnoselsky, Deputies of the Supreme Council, members of the Government, city leaders and representatives of public organizations of the republic, defenders of Pridnestrovie, inhabitants of Tiraspol and guests of the city took part at the meeting.

This day, everyone came to worship the graves of those who, by faith, courage, patriotism, won the right to build their own state, to live according to the laws and traditions of their ancestors.

In his speech, the President Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed sincere condolences from the Pridnestrovian people to all the relatives and relatives of the dead defenders of Pridnestrovie, as well as those who died from wounds and diseases in peacetime.

The President noted that it was thanks to the defenders of Pridnestrovie that both the peacekeeping mission of the Russian Federation and the preserved peace became possible.

The aggression of the Moldavian nationalists claimed the lives of 804 Pridnestrovians, more than 1.5 thousand were injured, dozens were missing. 118 residents of Tiraspol died during the hostilities. The light memory of the fallen defenders of Pridnestrovie and those who died because of wounds in the struggle for independence of the PMR was honored with a minute of silence. They lay fresh flowers on the granite slabs with the names of the dead.
