The memory of the Great Victory

A round table on the theme “Spiritual, moral and patriotic education of youth in the light of the Great Victory” was held in the framework of the VIII Christmas parliamentary meetings in the Federation Council.

Opening the event, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education and Culture Lilia Gumerova noted the relevance of the topic of the “round table” held in the Year of the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory.

Lilia Gumerova drew attention to recent resolutions of the European Parliament and the Sejm of Poland, which state the equal responsibility of the Soviet Union and Hitler Germany for the outbreak of World War II.

Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy Valery Ryazansky, who represents the legislative body of state power in the Kursk region in the Federation Council, spoke in his speech about the heavy battles that took place there during the Great Patriotic War, as well as about his meetings with veterans. The Senator showed a video about the Battle of Kursk.

The event was attended by members of the Federation Council, Deputies of the State Duma, clergy, chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education Vyacheslav Nikonov, members of the Chamber of Young Legislators at the Federation Council, representatives of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, educational and public organizations, experts, as well as Pridnestrovian legislators.
