The Great Feat Memory

Pridnestrovie is standing still in solemn anticipation of the great date – the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. Thousands of Pridnestrovians will march in the Immortal Regiment, paying tribute to the heroic defenders on May 9. The Victory Banner will be raised in the sky above the republic. A scattering of scarlet carnations will cover the granite slabs on the glory memorials.

Words of gratitude and pride are heard throughout the republic on the threshold of the Great Victory Day. The state institutions are overtaken by breath of memory.

The employees of the Accounts Chamber of the PMR remember the immortal feat of the Soviet people. On the eve of May 9, a special exhibition blossomed in the lobby of the building. There are drawings by young artists, children of the department's employees, and a new generation of descendants of the victors on the stands.

Ceremonial meeting dedicated to Victory Day was held in the assembly hall of the Accounts Chamber of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic on May 7. They talked about a feat that defies time, about courage that was stronger than fear, about love for the Motherland that surpassed death.

A special video was prepared for the anniversary of the Great Victory. On the screen are portraits of soldiers, nurses, and signalmen. Relatives and friends of the Accounts Chamber employees who went through the fire of the Great Patriotic War and gave their descendants a peaceful sky. A video bridge between the past and the present, a living memory stored in hearts, passed on from generation to generation.

The Chairperson of the Accounts Chamber of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Svetlana Izmestyeva spoke in her speech about the invisible but strong thread that connects us with the heroes who have gone into eternity, and about historical truth as a sacred duty to those who never returned from the battlefields.

Decades pass, generations replace each other, but the memory of the feat of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War does not fade in our memory. Pridnestrovians are proud of their history, praise the victors in the language of peace and remember that without the past there is no future.
