Dear internationalist warriors,

 veterans of the Afghan war!

On behalf of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and on me personally let me congratulate you on the 30th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan.

Memorial Day of soldiers-internationalists is celebrated annually on February 15. 30 years ago this day, the last column of Soviet troops left the territory of Afghanistan. Today we pay tribute to those people who risked their lives defending the title of Soviet soldier and the honor of the country.

There are quite a few residents of Pridnestrovie among the internationalist warriors who fulfilled their duty on Afghan soil. There, far from the homeland, in the 1980s, the Soviet troops assumed a mission to save the world from the nascent threat of international terrorism and extended a helping hand to the fraternal people.

We thank you for your courage and perseverance, active and responsible citizenship. You, strong-willed people, and in peacetime are demonstrating a commitment to goodness and justice, a principled position in life, making a significant contribution to the patriotic education of young people.

Cherished memory of the dead! Deepest gratitude to compatriots from whom the war has selected people close to them! Honor and glory to all internationalist warriors! Life persistence, faith in yourself and in the military fraternity, peace and kindness!

of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic
