In memory of the Pridnestrovian defenders

Dear Pridnestrovians and defenders 

of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic!

Today is a special, significant day in our history. This day, we honor the memory of the defenders, comrades in arms, our fathers and grandfathers, who did not flinch and, with arms in hand, were able to defend their native land from the aggression of the nationalists of Moldova.

29 years have passed since the time when a peaceful sky reigned over Pridnestrovie. The best sons of the fatherland defended our future, the future of our children and grandchildren at the cost of heroic efforts.

August 1, 1992 is rightfully considered the first day without shots and bloodshed. The decisive role in this was played by the introduction of the contingent of the peacekeeping forces of the Russian Federation, which to this day is vigilantly serving, being the guarantor of peace and security on both banks of the Dniester.

We, the adult generation, turned out to be living witnesses of the outbreak of the tragedy. Relatives and friends have irrevocably gone in many families.

All residents of Pridnestrovie will always remember and honor the bright memory of the defenders of their native land, in the name of peace and prosperity. It is a pity that they will never see how the appearance of a young, independent republic that has not bowed its head has changed and transformed.

We will never allow anyone to distort and rewrite our history.

I wish all Pridnestrovians to love their Fatherland from the bottom of their hearts and pass this love on to the younger generations.
