Almost 2 thousand portraits of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War were designed on the eve of Victory Day by specialists from the central office of the Obnovlenie Republican Party and its territorial branches. The party offices received a lot of applications before the Immortal Regiment event. The Pridnestrovians wanted to march in the procession and proudly carry portraits of their loved ones.

Participation in the event is an annual tradition for the family of Supreme Council Deputy Vladimir Timofeev. Online format or a mass procession, the name of his hero-grandfather, who participated in the war of 1941-1945, is not subject to oblivion.

Fyodor Akimovich Nikolaev went to the front in 1944 after the liberation of his native village of Parkany. The soldier was 21 years old at that time. Vladimir Timofeev learned about all the exploits of his grandfather from his mother, since Fyodor Akimovich himself, remembering the war, always cried.

Soviet machine gunners were on the verge of death every day, because the Germans tried to destroy them first on the battlefield during the Great Patriotic War. Fyodor Nikolaev lost many of his fellow soldiers, he miraculously survived. He received his first orders and medals during the war for bravery.

The deputy's grandfather met the victory in Bulgaria, at that time he was being treated in a hospital after a second serious injury. In 1945, he returned to his native Parkany and got a job as a tractor driver on a collective farm. He devoted almost 40 years of his life to this profession, and also received awards for his achievements, but these were labor awards. The love of the land was passed on to the grandson of a veteran of the Great Patriotic War – Vladimir Timofeev chose the profession of an agronomist and, in the footsteps of his grandfather, works in the fields of his village. Opposition to Nazism was passed on at the genetic level. The truth about the Victory over the fascist plague in the Timofeev family is passed on to their children. The "Obnovlenie" party will resume accepting applications for the design of portraits of heroes of the Great Patriotic War after Victory Day. The party asks that you leave an application in advance and not come right on the eve of the memorable date. Specialists will help not only design a portrait of a hero, but also find information about him.
