In memory of Nikolai Tufanyuk

The President Vadim Krasnoselsky, the head of the city administration Roman Ivanchenko, the chairman of the city council Yuri Kara, the deputy of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov, heads of the ministries and departments of the republic attended the opening ceremony of the tournament.

Nikolay Tufanyuk is the founder of academic rowing in the city of Bendery, the honored trainer of MSSR and PMR. He has prepared more than 200 masters of sports of the USSR, masters of sports of the international class for 48 years of his pedagogical activity. 18 of his pupils became champions and prize-winners of world championships.

Traditionally, before the beginning of the tournament, guests and participants of the competition honored the memory of the honored coach with a minute of silence and laid flowers to the memorial board. The crew of veterans opened the regatta, which included the candidate for the master of sports of USSR in rowing, the honorary president of the Federation of rowing sports PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky. Eight veterans and participants of the competitions solemnly passed along the Dniester, in memory of Nikolai Alexeyevich, flowers were put on the water.

The tournament ended with the awarding of winners and prize-winners of the competitions.
