Meeting-requiem in memory of the statesman of Pridnestrovie, the PMR Supreme Council Deputy of the of the IV convocation Oleg Andreevich Gudymo, who devoted many years to serving his homeland, took place in the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

Oleg Gudymo was born on September 11, 1944. He became a student at the automotive department of the Polytechnic Institute of Belarus after graduating from high school in 1962. In parallel with his studies, he worked as an auto mechanic in the city of Minsk. He was called up for compulsory military service in a tank unit of the Soviet Army in October 1965. He entered the KGB Higher School under the Council of Ministers of the USSR in 1968, from which he graduated in February 1973 with a degree in Jurisprudence. He performed operational and command functions in various bodies of the USSR State Security Committee.

Oleg Gudymo moved to Pridnestrovie on August 5, 1992. He had been serving as First Deputy Minister of State Security of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic since November 1993. He was elected as a deputy of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic of the IV convocation in December 2005. Oleg Gudymo headed in the Parliament, the Committee on Security, Defense and Peacekeeping Activities, and led the People's Will of Pridnestrovie party, which he created. Oleg Gudymo defended the interests of Pridnestrovie in the Joint Control Commission.

Parliamentarians and employees of the Office of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic honored the memory of Oleg Gudymo with a minute of silence.
