The burial place of the state councilor, researcher of the history of Dubossary, author of the book “Sketches on the history of the city of Dubossary and the adjacent Pridnestrovie” Vladimir Aleksandrovich Kochergin (1845-1911 was reconstructed in Dubossary in the old city cemetery on the initiative and financial assistance of the deputy of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for the constituency Number 11 “Central” Boris Herman.). This place was in oblivion and desolation many years: fragments of the granite monument were scattered in the thickets of grass, the tombstone disappeared.
City and district leaders, representatives of the Dubossary party organization "Renewal" (Obnovlenie), schoolchildren, and cultural workers took part in the opening of the reconstructed burial site of the researcher. Boris German addressed the audience. He noted that the reconstruction was carried out in accordance with the order of a group of voters at the expense of the State Program for the Execution of Voter Orders.
The Head of the state administration of Dubossary and Dubossary district Ruslan Chaban expressed gratitude for the assistance in preserving the historical heritage of the city.
The head of the contractor that carried out the reconstruction work Vadim Login noted that this was the first time his company had to carry out such work.
Memorial service was held for Vladimir Aleksandrovich Kochergin.
