One of the most pressing problems of the current foreign policy situation remains the installation in Kuchurgan of a joint Moldovan-Ukrainian post. The ways to resolve it were also discussed at the meeting of the parliamentary commission on foreign policy and international relations, in which people's deputies, representatives of the Foreign Ministry, the State Customs Committee, and public organizations took part.
The head of the republic's foreign policy department Vitaly Ignatiev and Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee Alexei Lipovtsev made a report. Heads of departments noted the need to develop adequate response measures to the actions of Moldovan and Ukrainian authorities to block foreign economic activity of Pridnestrovie. The Foreign Ministry has already sent its proposals to the Security Council of the Republic. It is not impossible that a working meeting on this topic will be held in the future under the chairmanship of the head of state.
It is also important that the voice of the public heard more clearly and loudly, considers vice-speaker of the Parliament Galina Antyufeeva.
Participants of the meeting were unanimous in that it is important not only to declare intentions, but also demonstrate readiness to take countermeasures available in the arsenal of the republic. It must be productive and effective.
