Mothers with many children can equate parental leave for work experience. As it became known to "The Parliamentary Gazette", the corresponding law-in-draft is being developed by the State Duma Deputy Vitaly Milonov.
According to the Russian deputy, the initiative will be supported by expert assessments, examples from international legislation and submitted to the State Duma for consideration in the fall. The current situation, when the work experience of mothers with many children is 4.5 years in his opinion contradicts common sense.
With the proposal of Deputy Vitaly Milonov, the Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation on family, women and children agreed. As its chairman Tamara Pletneva emphasized, parliamentarians offered such an initiative more than once.
Pletneva considers, what to consider the three-year leave on care of the child in the work experience is fair. This is due to the fact that today it is very problematic to arrange a baby up to three years in a nursery. At the same time, parents still need to work, as the childcare allowance is paid only up to 1.5 years.
At present, the work experience of the mother, father or other close relative caring for the child includes 1.5 years of leave. In sum, this period can not be more than 4.5 years. Thus, for the fourth and subsequent children the additional length of service is not taken into account.
