During the last meeting of the consulatative assembly of the first Pridnestrovian deputies, the founders of the republic met with the Chairman of the Supreme Council, Alexander Korshunov, the current one was devoted to communication with the Chairman of the Government, Alexander Martynov.
At the beginning of the dialogue, the chairman of the consulatative assembly Igor Smirnov noted: during the entire period of activity of this body, the Government has always answered questions that came to him from the first deputies. The head of the highest executive body of the government also began his speech with the importance of a permanent dialogue with the public.
In late June - early July, Alexander Martynov will address the deputies of the Supreme Council with a report on the work of the government last year. Now this document is being prepared, so the Chairman of the Government suggested that the creators of the republic should build a dialogue in the “question-answer” format. Deputies of the Supreme Council of the first convocation had a lot of them. Some of them were sent in advance to the highest executive body of power, and some were asked from the parliamentary rostrum personally. One of the first questions concerns pricing issues. This is already a trend, a peculiar marker of the relevance of what excites citizens above all.
He stated that in a free market, prices are determined on the basis of supply and demand. At the same time, specialists of the relevant ministry constantly monitor prices in the markets of Tiraspol and neighboring Odessa and Chisinau, and the situation is in favor of our consumers.
Vladimir Labunsky, deputy of the Supreme Council of the first convocation, asked about the purchasing power of the population, the volume of postal money transfers of our migrants from abroad, consumer debt for housing and communal services, consumer lending to the population, income from mining farms.
In this regard, Alexander Martynov reminded of the devaluation of the Pridnestrovian ruble, which followed inflation, which negatively affected the real incomes of citizens.
In the course of communication with the Chairman of the Government and his deputies, the founders of the republic paid attention to the development of the agrarian complex. In this sector, the Government is taking certain steps, by providing state support to stimulate local producers to engage not only in the cultivation of grain, but vegetable production, gardening, and cattle breeding. To this end, the system of land reclamation has become the object of close attention of all public authorities.
The range of concerns to the founders of the Pridnestrovian state was very broad: state control over the activities of research laboratories, poor construction work on the capital investment program, possible incorporation of medical institutions, food quality, control measures of supervisory authorities, conclusion of contract for delivery to the republic next year natural gas from Russia, etc.
