Report on the work of the PMR Accounts Chamber for 2022

The Accounts Chamber of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is a permanent body of state financial control. The main goal of the Accounts Chamber is to ensure financial transparency, responsibility and efficient use of budgetary funds in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. It performs its tasks by reviewing financial transactions, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of the use of public funds. The work of the Accounts Chamber is aimed at preventing the misuse of budgetary funds, as well as at improving the quality of financial management in the republic.

Svetlana Izmestieva emphasized in her speech the importance of regular control over financial transactions and transparency in spending budget funds. The Accounts Chamber worked actively in 2022, conducting inspections and identifying violations. Inspections were carried out both in relation to state-owned enterprises and in relation to municipal unitary enterprises. Control activities were carried out in terms of spending the state budget, local budgets and targeted off-budget funds for the implementation of a set of measures to combat covid.

The Accounts Chamber reviewed last year 285 legislations and other regulatory legal acts on issues of budgetary and financial policy and improvement of the budgetary process and interbudgetary relations.

The Supreme Council approved the report on the activities of the Accounts Chamber of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for 2022.
