It is planned to increase the fine for unauthorized dumps in Tiraspol. Local authorities intend to send a corresponding law-in-draft to the Supreme Council. The capital spent 6 million rubles on the elimination of spontaneous landfills last year. The head of the capital's state administration Oleg Dovgopol announced it, presenting a report on the work last year to the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The city will provide photo and video recording of violations to identify and punish offenders. The idea of increasing the fine was supported by the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky. If a person deliberately throws out garbage in the wrong place, he commits an offense and should be held accountable.
The situation with solid waste disposal was discussed at the meeting. The meeting participants discussed the construction of a new landfill in the village of Malaehsty, and talked about waste sorting, burning and compacting. Speaking about the waste incinerator, Oleg Dovgopol informed the meeting participants that it does not pose any environmental hazard. It was noted in the course of the meeting that the level of harmful emissions is 10 times less than that of a car.
Deputies of the Supreme Council, representing the interests of Tiraspol residents, asked questions to the head of the state administration in the course of the reporting meeting. For example, residents are waiting for minor streets to be repaired in the Kirovsky microdistrict. Oleg Dovgopol noted that the planned road concreting program will be launched if funding is available. They talked in the course of the meeting about the work of public transport. According to parliamentarian Grigory Dyachenko, it is problematic for residents of Kirovsky to get to work and home during rush hours, and there is no public transport at all after 20:00.
Oleg Dovgopol, speaking generally about the accessibility of public transport, outlined plans to increase city routes and increase the number of electric buses in Tiraspol. The route No. 23, operating since October 2022, has proven its necessity and demand among residents. The issue of electric transport development will be further studied by local authorities.
Parliamentarian Vadim Levitsky was interested in the construction of new housing in Tiraspol. As the head of the state administration Oleg Dovgopol noted, new housing was not put into operation in the city last year. A residential complex is currently being built in the area of the research institute. The city plans to complete long-term construction in the Tekstilshchikov microdistrict. As for the planned construction of high-rise buildings on the outskirts of the city in the new Odessky microdistrict, this project has been suspended for now and can be implemented if funding is available, Oleg Dovgopol noted.
The state administration of Tiraspol plans to build a bridge across the irrigation canal so that drivers can drive from Youth Street to the bypass road on the outskirts of the city. Vadim Krasnoselsky gave this instruction at the beginning of the year, voicing a message to government and administrative bodies. The President in the course of the reporting meeting once again emphasized the need to improve transport accessibility in this section of the Oktyabrsky microdistrict.
The capital will continue to work to improve the quality of life of Tiraspol residents, will continue to implement programs of republican and local importance, including the Capital Investment Fund, housing programs, carry out repairs of houses, roads and sidewalks, carry out landscaping work in 2024.
