Pushkin is called one of the founders of the modern Russian literary language. Any of his works is written in the language that is understandable to the current reader, regardless of the level of education, age, mentality, says Nikolay Zhuravlev, coordinator of Rossotrudnichestvo projects in Pridnestrovie.
Rossotrudnichestvo today has presented the central Tiraspol library with Russian literature, mainly works of art that are in demand among readers by tradition.
They get to know Pushkin's work in childhood. The writer became one of the symbols of the Russian language, Russian culture, and Russia. The participants of the event called June 6 a holiday for all Russians, all Russian compatriots not only in Pridnestrovie, but all over the world where they know and love Pushkin.
It is known that Pushkin visited Tiraspol several times during the period of his Southern exile. He could have been sent to Siberia for writing caustic epigrams to power, which Alexander I himself called "outrageous poetry", but thanks to the help of N. M. Karamzin, V. A. Zhukovsky and P. Ya. Chaadaev, the writer receives leniency from the tsar and leaves to the southern provinces. Vivid local impressions made A.S. Pushkin and in later years to turn to Bessarabian images and themes. Researchers have more than 220 works written, begun and conceived by the poet during this period. There are 4 southern poems among them, one of them "Gypsies".
First-year student of the TYUI Ministry of Internal Affairs Kristina Milik read Pushkin's works today. She decided to take part in a literary marathon and recited an excerpt from the novel “Eugene Onegin” in honor of the birthday of the great poet.
The birthday of Alexander Sergeevich was the reason for the Pridnestrovian poets and writers to come even from the northern capital of the republic. The Head of the Rybnitsa branch of the Union of Writers of Pridnestrovie Marina Sycheva noted that Pushkin's work is still being studied and pearls are found in his works.
Participants of the event, reciting Pushkin's poems, received books as a gift.
