The Supreme Council adopted amendments to the republican budget for 2023 in the second final reading in the course of the plenary session today. This legislative initiative was introduced at the previous plenary session by the Speaker of the Parliament Alexander Korshunov. The concept of the law-in-draft was developed by the Youth Parliament, senior colleagues supported the initiative of young parliamentarians.
The changes will affect the law on the republican budget for 2023. The definition of “young family” will be changed in accordance with the definition established in the law “On State Support for Young Families in Acquisition of Housing”.
The laws “On State Support for Young Families in Acquisition of Housing” and “On State Youth Policy” define a young family as a couple in the first 5 years after marriage (without time limits if there are children), where at least one of the spouses has not reached 36 -years of age. An incomplete family consisting of a parent under the age of 36 and a minor child is also considered a young family in addition.
The law-in-draft was approved by parliamentarians unanimously and will come into force after it is signed by the PMR President.
