The Agreement on Insured Events

14.07.2021

The amount of damage caused to a vehicle in an accident according to the current legislation can be established without the participation of appraisers by agreement of the parties. The Agreement is signed between the victim in an accident, a representative of the insurance company and the perpetrator of the accident. In practice, situations often arise when the victim, with an agreement already reached with the insurance company on the amount of the payment, cannot receive compensation for damage. The reason is that it is difficult to find the culprit of the accident so that he signs under the Agreement.

Deputy of the Supreme Council Yuri Kucherenko proposed to amend the law so that an agreement could be concluded on establishing the amount of damage caused in an accident by two parties - the insurance company and the victim. The Supreme Council supported this initiative. In addition, the relevant committee proposed to supplement the list of insured accidents that occurred in the internal territory of a particular organization.

The Supreme Council deputies adopted the law-in-draft in the final reading. The document was sent for signature to the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
