Deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation from the United Russia faction on the eve of Victory Day launched online campaign “To know, to remember”. They invited everyone who celebrates Victory Day to replace the photo in social networks with the photo of a relative who fought in the Great Patriotic War. The Head of the United Russia faction in the State Duma Sergei Neverov shared in social networks the story of his grandfather defending homeland. The deputy said that Terenty Innokentyevich Neverov was a sergeant, he was born in 1911 in the Altai Territory, from where he went to the front. He died March 22, 1943 in the Bryansk region - in the battle for the liberation of Sevsk.

Russian parliamentarians supported the online rally, emphasizing that May 9, 1945 is the day that determined the fate of the world.

Chairman of the Council of the Federation of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko called on all residents of Russia to join the action on May 9 - go out onto the balconies with portraits of the participants of the Great Patriotic War and sing the song “Victory Day”.
