As part of the festivities dedicated to the 29th anniversary of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, the grand opening of the Olympic Reserve School took place in Tiraspol. The ceremony was attended by the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky, Prime Minister Alexander Martynov, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeyeva, representatives of local authorities, ministries and departments. The main characters of the celebratory assembly on the occasion of the beginning of the new school year and a truly historic event, of course, were the pupils, there are 138 of them, in the future there will be about three hundred.
12 kinds of sports will be cultivated, first of all, included in the Olympic program in the new educational institution, which, by the way, is opened for the first time in the republic. Not only Tiraspol residents will be able to study here, but also nonresident of Tiraspol who will live here in comfortable rooms. Five meals a day, medical care are provided for young athletes.
Graduates of the school will be able to enter the 2nd year of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of PSU and study there on a budgetary basis.
