During the plenary session, the parliamentarians in the final reading adopted changes to the law "On Citizens' Appeals". The legislative initiative was developed by Deputy of the Supreme Council Oleg Vasilaty and supported by a specialized parliamentary committee on legislation, law enforcement, defense, security, peacekeeping, protection of citizens' rights and freedoms. As the author of the law-in-draft explained, the new norm will determine the uniform for the entire republic order of reception by public authorities of written appeals of citizens.
The norm of the law also stipulates that if agencies, for example law enforcement agencies, work around the clock, the reception of written appeals of citizens should also during the entire working time. The provisions of the law-in-draft do not apply to cases where officials conduct personal reception of citizens.
