It will become easier to issue citizenship of PMR to children

The Supreme Council in the course of the plenary session supported the legislative initiative to supplement the law "On the citizenship of the PMR" in two reads. Its authors were deputies of the Parliamentary Committee on Legislation, Law Enforcement, Defense, Security, Peacekeeping, Protection of Citizens' Rights and Freedoms. As it was noted, presenting the law-in-draft to the deputy corps, the co-author the parliamentarian Vitaly Kalin, the novel is intended to simplify the procedure for obtaining PMR citizenship for children.

The head of the profile committee and the co-author of the law-in-draft Galina Antyufeeva emphasized that this legislative proposal was born on the basis of numerous appeals of citizens who had difficulties in registering the citizenship of the PMR to children under the age of majority.

The document is sent for signature to the President.
