Official Meeting in the Parliament

Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov held a meeting with the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Vataman and the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaly Yankovsky.

The issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation, as well as cultural interaction between Pridnestrovie, Abkhazia and South Ossetia were discussed by the parties.

Alexander Vataman spoke about the situation in Abkhazia, where presidential elections were held in the spring, and a meeting with representatives of state authorities, including members of the parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia. The Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic assured that Sukhum is aware of the difficult situation in Pridnestrovie and is ready to continue cooperation.

The Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of South Ossetia in Pridnestrovie Vitaly Yankovsky noted that South Ossetia is not standing aside and meetings where one can learn all the information first-hand are extremely important and necessary at this stage. The Plenipotentiary Representatives of Abkhazia and South Ossetia in Pridnestrovie discussed the current economic and humanitarian situation in the republic with the Chairman of the Supreme Council. They expressed confidence in continuing close cooperation for the benefit of our republics.
