The Supreme Council plans to adopt law-in-draft on the republican budget for 2025 in the first reading at the end of October. This information was announced by the head of the parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance Viktor Guzun in the course of the meeting of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
The draft of the main financial document of the republic, developed by the Government, has been under consideration by the parliament since September according to the chairman of the relevant Committee. The 2025 budget should be adopted by the end of December. Viktor Guzun called on his colleagues, chairmen of the parliamentary Committees to submit their conclusions on the draft republican budget to the Committee on Economic Policy.
The law-in-draft on the budget must be reviewed by all parliamentary Committees at their meetings and their conclusions must be made, according to the legislation. The law-in-draft and the results of all reviews will be after that summarized by the relevant Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance, which must prepare a conclusion and a list of amendments. Only then the draft budget for the next year submitted to the plenary session of the Supreme Council for adoption in the first reading. The subject of the first reading is the main characteristics of the consolidated, republican and local budgets. The republican budget for the next year must be adopted in three readings before the New Year. City and district councils of people's deputies can adopt their draft budgets after the law is signed by the PMR President.
At the meeting of the Presidium, The date of the next plenary session of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic was determined.
