The next plenary session of the PMR Supreme Council will take place on May 28

Chaired by the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov the parliamentary Presidium meeting was held in the briefing hall of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic today. By decision of the parliamentary Presidium, the next plenary session is scheduled for May 28. The agenda includes a draft Resolution of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic "On the report of the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic on the results of the activities of the Supreme Council of the PMR and its bodies for 2024." According to the Rules of Procedure, the speaker of parliament annually presents a report on the results of the activities of the Supreme Council and its working bodies for the previous year. Alexander Korshunov will present information on the number of plenary and emergency sessions held, on the legislative work of deputies, on the activities of committees and departments of the Office of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The draft was prepared for consideration by the Committee on Legislation, Protection of Rights and Freedoms of Citizens. The draft Resolution "On the report of the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the PMR on the expenses of the Supreme Council of the PMR for 2024" will be considered simultaneously with the report on the results of the activities of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in 2024. The next plenary session of the Supreme Council of the PMR will be held tomorrow, May 14. Its agenda includes legislations in the field of social policy, labor legislation, housing and communal services, etc. For example, the deputy corps will consider in the first reading the legislations concerning changes in the procedure for the appointment and payment of maternity and childhood benefits. They were prepared for consideration by the Committee on Social Policy and Healthcare. The Committee on Regional Policy and Housing and Public Utilities submitted to the Supreme Council for consideration in the second reading the law-in-draft on amending the Law of the PMR "On state support for young families in purchasing housing". The new mechanism proposed in the law-in-draft will allow young families to overcome negative circumstances and continue to fulfill their financial obligations to the state.
