Celebrating last year the 15th anniversary of the Union of Russian Communities of Pridnestrovie on the eve of the Old New Year, held a regional conference of Russian compatriots in Tiraspol. Russian Ambassador to Moldova Farid Mukhametshin, Prime Minister Aleksander Martynov, head of the public associations of the Supreme Council Committee on sport, information and youth policy Igor Buga were among the honored guests.
Chairman of "The Union of Russian Communities of Pridnestrovie" Viorica Kohtareva told about its activities of members of the public organization. It included organization of competitions, festivals, exhibitions, events to mark national holidays of the Russian Federation. Special attention - to the youth, their involvement in various competitions, especially international, and veterans, which give all possible financial assistance. Sincere thanks for your help and support were addressed to the Russian Embassy in Moldova, personally Ambassador, the Moscow government - for the provision of financial assistance to veterans, for pay to 11 Pridnestrovian students Mayor scholarships for the organization under the auspices of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian winter and summer camps recreation for children in Russia, for the New Year's gifts, and celebrations, which were attended by more than three thousand children, for trips to cities in Russia, for their assistance in improving the training of teachers of Russian language and literature, for the allocation of computers to Pridnestrovian schools and pre-school educational institutions.
Russian Ambassador Farid Mukhametshin called the Union of Russian Communities of Pridnestrovie workable, and above all, an active community. He assured that Russia will continue to support compatriots and expressed the hope that in the near future bring closer the positions of state bodies and public organizations, making common cause - improving the lives of people. This, in his opinion, will contribute to the opening of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Tiraspol (the relevant decision of the Russian Government ). As parting words Farid Mukhametshin advised the members of the Russian community to carry out more activities in the regions. He fulfilled an honorable mission for the award of the diploma of the Embassy for the preservation and development of the Russian language and Russian culture.
The most awaited moment of the conference was the presentation of computer certificates to Pridnestrovian representatives of schools, kindergartens, institutions of additional education. Russian embassy donated totally 50 computers.
