Public control online

The Government proposed to legislate the possibility of holding public hearings in the online format. The spread of coronavirus infection and the introduction of restrictive measures have made it difficult to conduct public hearings as usual. Many meetings have been conducted online because of this. This format has already managed to prove its effectiveness.

The issues raised at the hearings are of particular public importance or affect the rights and freedoms of citizens. Online hearings are also one of the steps towards digitalization, saving time and financial resources according to the deputies.

The Supreme Council adopted the law-in-draft with additions to the law "On the fundamentals of public control in the PMR" in the first reading. Work on the document will continue taking into account the comments and suggestions made during the discussion.
