The Education requires Development Strategy

The Head of the Parliamentary Committee on Education, Science and Culture Mikhail Burla, Education Minister Tatiana Loginova and the rector of the Pridnestrovian State University Stepan Beryl became participants in the hearings that took place in the State Duma of the Russian Federation November 21. It was initiated by the State Duma Committee on Education and Science, headed by Vyacheslav Nikonov. An expert talk took place on the topic "Strategic planning of the development of education in the Russian Federation". Opinion on this issue was expressed by representatives of the authorities, professional communities, public organizations, political parties.

The country's competitiveness in the international arena will depend on how well the education and science system can adapt to new realities, said Vyacheslav Nikonov, opening the hearing.

Education and science determine the future of any state, because the modern world is a dynamically developing world of knowledge. In Russia, as in our republic, spending on education is one of the largest spending items in the federal budget.

The head of the State Duma committee said that not a single industry changes as quickly as the knowledge branch. Every two years, the amount of knowledge accumulated by mankind is doubled. The situation on the labor market changes radically in connection with the development of new knowledge and new technologies. It is predicted that a number of professions will disappear in the coming years. It is difficult to imagine how the labor market will look after 20 years. As Vyacheslav Nikonov noted, it is now necessary to start preparing specialists who will work in the economy of the future and meet the challenges that the country faces.

In this sense, Pridnestrovie has something to learn. Our republic is integrated into the educational space of Russia; education process in schools is according to Russian programs and standards. The development of contacts with Russia in the sphere of education for Pridnestrovie is not less important than in the economic sphere.
