The living word sounds again

The finale of the republican contest of readers and poets "The Living Word" was held in the capital. This is reported by the website of “The Obnovlenie” (Renewal) republican socio-political party. Their skill was demonstrated by the guys who became the best on the results of qualifying rounds in all cities and regions of the republic. The creative competition, organized annually by the party together with "The Future of Pridnestrovie" foundation, is being held this year for the sixth time. The interest in the event is growing. This time several hundred schoolboys took part in it, 90 persons reached the finale.

Children compete in three age categories and in two competitions: "Artistic reading" (expressive reading aloud classical and modern poetic works or prose) and "Author's creativity" (reading poems of his own composition). Schoolchildren recite poems and prose in Russian, Ukrainian, Moldovan. "The Living Word" became a real festival of poetry, allowing to appreciate the sincerity of children, artistic abilities, love for their native land.

Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Education, Science and Culture Mikhail Burla, People's Artist of PMR Igor Taran, a member of the Union of Writers of Pridnestrovie and the Union of Writers of Russia Olga Molchanova, Honored Teacher Dorin Gabuzha, an excellent cultural worker Tatyana Kosenko are members of the jury of the contest.

Members of the jury noted: participation in such competitions raises the educational level of schoolchildren, gives an opportunity to hear how the real, living word sounds. Mikhail Burla, commenting on the author's creativity of schoolchildren (a lot of young people performed today with verses of his own composition), drew attention to the notes of sadness that sounded in poetic lines.

The results of the final round will be made public after the May holidays. Winners will be awarded diplomas and prizes.
