Parliamentarians adopted a state targeted program to provide housing for orphans, children left without parental care in the second reading. Currently, more than 600 orphans, children left without parental care, need their own homes. According to the head of the profile parliamentary committee Sergei Cheban, the system to provide this category of citizens with housing, which has been functioning in recent years, is ineffective.
In connection with this, the law-in-draft on approval of the state target program for providing housing for orphans, children left without parental care was submitted to the Supreme Council for consideration. According to one of the authors of the law-in-draft, Alexander Korshunov, currently there are favorable conditions for implementation of this program, as there is a decline in prices in the real estate market. The approximate amount of the costs necessary for its implementation is 60 million rubles the funds are expected to be put into the budget.
