February 7, President Vadim Krasnoselsky resumed the practice of holding meetings with representatives of major public organizations. The first who met with the President in an expanded format were the soldiers internationalists who were fulfilling the soldier's duty in Afghanistan. During the meeting, participants in the military operations in the DRA, in addition to other issues, raised the issue of the possibility of duty-free importation of cars. Responding to the request of the "Afghans" and the proposal of the head of state, the deputies of the Supreme Council adopted amendments to the law "On Customs Tariff" during today's plenary session.
The essence of the unanimously approved legislative body of the legislative initiative is to provide a 100 percent privilege to pay import duty for some categories of citizens when importing vehicles, proving that they are not registered with another vehicle. Among them there are participants in military operations to protect Pridnestrovie, participants in military operations in Afghanistan, as well as participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster. They will be able to bring once a car or other vehicle for personal use. In case, they are prohibited from committing any transactions with vehicles within three years from the date of importation.
