Last week, the delegation of the Supreme Council, headed by the Parliament Speaker Alexander Shcherba visited Moscow on a working visit. Today he, the vice-speaker Galina Antyufeeva and deputies Alexander Korshunov and Victor Guzun held a press conference for local journalists in the legislature.
The Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Shcherba told in details about meetings in the Russian capital, negotiations, agreements and plans for the development of cooperation with Russian colleagues.
Of course, the most discussed topic was the adoption of a simplified procedure of raking Russian citizenship by Pridnestrovians. Now there is a study of changes in the base of the RF Law "On Citizenship". Pridnestrovian parliamentarians, members of the parliamentary group of the State Duma for cooperation with the Supreme Council were actively involved in this work. It consists of deputies from the ruling party " United Russia", elected in September last year, the lower house of the Russian parliament, including thanks to the votes of Pridnestrovian Russians, totally 7 people, as well as two representatives from the Liberal Democratic Party and "The Fair Russia". The issue of citizenship important both for Russia and for the compatriots living abroad will be discussed during the parliamentary hearings in the State Duma, scheduled for March 20. It is already known the president Vadim Krasnoselsky and the Parliament Speaker Alexander Shcherba will participate in it from Pridnestrovie.
Surely it will be the main issue in the course of the expected early March visit to our republic of the State Duma Deputies from "The United Russia" party. During the visit to Pridnestrovie they will meet with Pridnestrovian voters, report to them about the first five months of work in the parliament, will hold a reception of citizens on personal matters. The Vice-Speaker of Parliament Galina Antyufeeva told about this during a briefing to media.
The Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Shcherba informed journalists that Pridnestrovian and Russian legislators in the framework of held meetings in the State Duma, the Federation Council, Moscow Region and Moscow City Dumas discussed the possibility of using the "maternity capital" on the territory of Pridnestrovie, the development of direct regional links, creating favorable conditions for Pridnestrovian supplies to the Russian market. An important component of the visit was to study the Russian experience both at the federal and at the regional level on the issue of job creation. Earlier one of the points of the people program of Vadim Krasnoselsky was a commitment in the next five years to create an additional 15 thousand jobs. Illustrative in this respect may be the experience of the Moscow region, where 200 thousand new jobs were recently created.
A particular point of the visit was the participation of Pridnestrovian deputies in the parliamentary hearings "Patriotic Education of Russian citizens: "Immortal regiment" under the auspices of the Duma Committee on Education and Science under the auspices of "The Russian world". The head of Pridnestrovian legislature Alexander Shcherba made a report.
The keynote of the speaker’s presentation to journalists was the conviction that almost everything depends on the activity of Pridnestrovian side.
