On interaction at various levels

Members of the presidiums of the Supreme Council and the Government held a joint meeting in the course of which a number of topical issues were discussed. The agenda includes the social and economic situation in the republic, including credit and financial sphere, as well as issues of interaction between the authorities. Opening the meeting, the head of the government Alexander Martynov emphasized the importance of joint work, which should be of a permanent and systematic nature.

In the opinion of the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba, in order to find such solutions, it is important to develop a mechanism for effective interaction between the Presidiums of the Supreme Council and the Government, parliamentary committees with profile ministries, and the definition of reference points. The head of parliament is convinced, this will allow to identify the complex measures that must be taken to change the situation for the better. Alexander Shcherba also informed the participants of the meeting about the participation of the Pridnestrovian delegation in the work of the interparliamentary assembly, which was held in Tskhinval, about establishing contacts at the international level. According to him, colleagues from South Ossetia, Abkhazia shared with them how far they have progressed in issues of issuance of certificates for medical care for Russian citizens residing on their territory, as well as for the implementation of "maternity capital".

The speaker said that the President of South Ossetia came out with the initiative to hold the next meeting of the IPA in Moscow at the level of not only legislators but also heads of state.

Further the Minister of economic development Sergey Obolonik made a report. The situation in the economy is complex, full-scale reforms are needed to resolve it and ensure stability in the social sphere. Finance Minister Irina Molokanova dwelled on the situation in the financial sphere, the prospects for its development before the end of the year.
