About the Prices, Tariffs and Competition

Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance Peter Pasat and member of the parliamentary committee on local authorities, local government and housing Vasily Vlasov, were among the participants of the annual board of the State Committee of prices and competition activities.

The Head Vitaly Ulitka made the accounting report of the department in the past year, the tasks set for the current year. His review of the activities of the State Committee touched on the regulation of tariffs of natural monopolies, housing and communal services, the establishment of prices for socially important goods (services, works), the development of competition. For example, last year the price has been kept bread and bakery products at the level of the previous year, the most popular type of bread - a loaf of "Firmenny" - decreased by 3.4%.

Tariffs for passenger transportation were not changed over the past three years. The cost of one minute of telephone conversations of the local telephone network (currently 20 cents), as well as the subscription fee remains almost unchanged. Due to the difficult socio-economic situation, in which there was a republic, rates for disposal of solid waste were reduced, this year they will also remain at the 2015 level,

The State Committee of prices and antimonopoly activity approves tariffs on 7,770 kinds of services provided by state and municipal enterprises (institutions), 3683 of them fall on the health sector.

Special attention of professionals on prices and antimonopoly activity of the State Committee on monitoring was paid to the cost of one cubic meter of water used for irrigation. Members of the Committee of the Supreme Council on agriculture have repeatedly drawn the attention to unreasonably sharp increase in the past year to 2 rubles 47 kopecks for "cube". According to preliminary data, the decline in the consumption of water by farmers for irrigation of farmland has led to the shortfall in the budget of 7 million rubles. In the current year, the tariff is set at 90 cents per cubic meter of water. It is supposed to support the PI "Pridnestrovian irrigation systems" in the amount of 34 million rubles.

The State Committee in the past year, the price and antimonopoly activity revealed violations in the formation of prices for products produced by the capital's dairy plant. Almost all of them have already been eliminated, the proceedings are judicial authorities for another fact.

One of the most important activities of the committee is pricing examination of contracts for the supply of goods, works and services for state needs to be concluded on the basis of the ongoing tenders. In total 609 contracts have been checked in the past year. As a result of this work purchase prices and thereby to save the state treasury 870 thousand Rubles has been reduced.

It was about the need to join efforts to work on being in parliament legislative initiatives relating to the establishment of the state of prices (tariffs) for socially important goods and services, development of competition in line with modern realities during the final meeting of the antimonopoly authority.
